Internal Medicine is a large component of what we do at Animal Medical Center.
Internal Medicine includes Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, immune mediated diseases, nephrology, hematology and cardiology. Conditions we treat include; Diabetes, Hypothyroidism and Adrenal Diseases, Pancreatitis, Anemia, Cancer, Blood Clotting Diseases (Thrombocytopenia), plus various infectious diseases.
Dogs, cats and exotic species suffer from an ever expanding list of infectious diseases. Some are unique to each species and some are common to many, including man (zoonotic disease). Treating and preventing zoonotic diseases is so important to our community.

Signs of Illness
As your dog or cat grows older, you may begin to see signs that could indicate an underlying disease or illness. Some symptoms of a chronic condition include:
